Our Ministry Groups

Intergenerational Groups of Campus View Church

Intergenerational Gatherings

We meet monthly on Sunday evenings to enjoy time with one another and celebrate the life of our community. It’s a chance to connect, share stories, laugh, and simply be together—deepening the friendships that make this place feel like home.

Life Groups

Campus View believes that in order to grow in our calling as a family and witness of Jesus, we need intentional and smaller gatherings - places to listen to God and each other, to pray, and to share our lives. Life Groups meet at the building and in homes throughout the Athens area for study and fellowship.

Children's Ministry of Campus View Church

Children’s Ministry

Our Children's Ministry seeks to introduce our children to God - who He is and His great love for them. Our Sunday school classes are taught by wonderful volunteers in a nurturing and loving environment. During Sunday Bible Class, our children learn the stories found in the Bible that reveal all about the Creator who loves them. Fun events are planned throughout the year to foster relationships between children and the larger church family.

Youth Group

Our parents and volunteers walk alongside our students as they grow into lifelong followers of Jesus. We want to help them become aware of God’s presence in their everyday lives while building strong, meaningful relationships with one another. Middle and high school students have their own Bible classes where they can dig into Scripture, ask honest questions, and learn how to live out their faith in real ways.  Our youth gather weekly outside of church to spend time together laughing, playing, and growing closer as a community.

College Ministry

College students bring depth and richness to our church life. They serve alongside us in our church ministries and become "adopted" members of our families. We find that our perspectives and faith become renewed through the lives of students who come here from places near and far. Our door is open wide and we hope that you will feel treasured here as someone deeply loved by God. We hope to be your "home away from home".

Bible Studies for Men and Women

Every week, our women gather together on Tuesday mornings, and our men gather on Wednesday mornings to study the Bible, pray, and fellowship with each other.

Venezuela Relief

Campus View has partnered with the Pegram Church of Christ in Tennessee to provide monthly boxes of medical supplies, food, and basic necessities to families living in extreme poverty in Venezuela.

Our History

In September 1939, a small group of Christians met together for the first time in the courthouse in downtown Athens. Clyde Hale, minister at West End Church of Christ in Atlanta, conducted several tent meetings on Prince Avenue, and a nucleus of the church became a reality. A dwelling house on the corner of Cobb Street and Milledge Avenue was purchased and converted into a meeting place with a minister's apartment on one side. The congregation grew following WWII as more people came to Athens to attend the University and later the Navy School. In the early fifties, property was acquired at the corner of Prince Avenue and Lyndon Avenue, and a basement was built. In the interim, the church worshiped in the downtown Athens Courthouse. The congregation was now called Prince Avenue Church of Christ. In 1955, the auditorium was completed. The early seventies saw the move into the present Campus View structure.
