Action Ministries

Ministry Partnership with Campus View
Campus View Church is a place that seeks to notice, as Jesus did, those on the margins: the poor, those with disabilities, the overlooked…and bring them into secure and meaningful relationship. Our church family works to build relationship with one another through worship, Bible study, and Life Groups. We also are committed to building relationship with our neighbors in this community. By serving as a key volunteer group for Action Ministries’ GED classes and Smart Lunch, Smart Kid, our congregation’s vision is to be a people who loves neighbor in the unconditional and overwhelming way that Jesus loved us. In December of each year, in concert with Action Ministries, Campus View helps fund, pack, and deliver boxes of food to help families in need, especially concentrating on children who might experience hunger while school meals were not available.

Campus View also volunteers to make and serve lunches to children in the Athens Gardens Community in East Athens during Spring Break and Summer Break, and other times that children may not receive lunches at school. The church enjoys sharing enrichment time with the community every Thursday during the summer break.

The mission of Action Ministries is to mobilize Clarke County communities to address the challenges of poverty by focusing on hunger relief, housing and education. Their programs are designed to provide our extensive network of community partners and volunteers with the tools and expertise to lead fellow Georgians out of poverty. From Our Daily Bread Community Kitchen to GED preparation classes to our Smart Lunch, Smart Kid summer hunger relief initiative, Action Ministries Athens is taking action in the Athens community. Together, we can transform even more lives. Learn more about Action Ministries here.
