If God is who He says He is, then He has a stake at what happens in this world. But more than that, if God is who He says He is, He is probably going to be the one who has to fix it. However, the unbelievable truth is that God uses broken people to fix a broken world full of broken people.
At Campus View, we GO not because we think we can fix the world, but because our Father is at work in it and we trust that He will finish what He started.
But he doesn't send us out alone. Though Jesus doesn't literally walk with us as He once did, His Spirit guides us into both the world's brokenness and our own brokenness to bring about something new.
"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matt. 28:16-20)
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit." (2 Cor. 3:17-18)
